The Texas war began in 1835 and ended in 1836. The Texans drove the Mexicans out of Texas. The mission to attack the Texans began when General Martin Perfect de Cos had heard the news. The war was between the two governments not so much the people wanting it. Texians and other Americans who volunteered all flooded and defeated Mexican soldiers.

Spanish settlers built the Mission San Antonio de Valero, named for St. Anthony of Padua, on the banks of the San Antonio River around 1718.This war put damage to everything that was around it, lots of people and building got damaged.
